Life Has Taken Me In Another Direction

After losing my mortgage business at the age of 57, life did not seem to hold much promise. Especially after also being evicted from my apartment and having my car repossessed. No money, no business, no car, no income, no nothing. Needless to say, it was not exactly the high point of my life, and gaining 50 pounds didn't help matters either. But I managed to reinvent myself with an internet business. I also started writing motivational articles for on-line publications, and holding seminars, you can read my entire story here.

Now at age 67 life has taken me in a different direction. I now show people who are in their Golden Years how to achieve a Happy & Healthy Lifestyle. Health seems to become more important as we age, with health comes happiness.

Sometimes achieving a happy and healthy life takes a little effort, especially as we age. As we enter our Golden Years life hits us with ailments we never had before, we all remember our parents getting them, now we get them. Little aches, little pains a grunt here a groan there, but most of these things can be alleviated, that’s where the effort part comes in.

There are certain things that we must do as we age to make sure that we can continue certain activities that we enjoy, like playing with our grandchildren. Things like keeping muscle tone so we can lift and throw them in the air and have enough strength to catch them, and not getting out of breath as we take them for a walk.

Growing old is not a bad thing, but growing old and being sickly and not being able to do the things that you enjoy and make you happy is. I’m not saying that you have to turn into Arnold Schwarzenegger, but you want to be able to open up a jar when your grand-daughter comes to you because she can’t.

Nothing is more important than maintaining youth and vitality. And maintaining fitness is a way to contribute to that. That is why I started my blog, The Healthy Golden Years. We all reach a time in our lives when we wake-up look in the mirror and say “When did I get this old?” It happens to us all; I know it happened to me. When we reach that point we start to realize that we better start taking better care of ourselves, I did and that’s the reason I made up my mind to start taking better care of myself and started to show others the way to a happy and healthy lifestyle.

I Now also offer a Free Health & Fitness Course for the more serious mind. Sign-Up Here And Start Your Way To A Happy & Healthier You.
